As we near the end of year 2010 it is important to get certain things right…
We need to take time to answer two important questions:
1) What is it that I really want?
2) How can I feel good every day so that I have the energy and enthusiasm to accomplish that which I really want?
Time flies by but these two questions often go unanswered.. These two questions are not easy by the way. These require deep thinking, great sense of observation and tremendous perseverance..
We should remind ourselves that we have the ability to play the game all the way to the end and we should train ourselves in that direction.. There is a lot this world can offer but we need to be clear of what we want. Many times the problems and difficulties or frustration which we end up with is more about lack of clarity in identifying what is it that we really want.
Struggling with what we don’t want is not a great way of moving ahead with life.. I can tell you this and tell you this with utmost certainty that each one of us have the ability to get to where we want… The reason we don’t get there is because we think we have to follow a particular path.. That is incorrect… We fail because we don’t learn the fundamentals- which consist of the right approach and the right attitude… We have to “know” and master the fundamentals. This is the key and once we “know” and master them we can then choose our path and we can never go wrong.. Never…
Get this right from me.. Take anything that you want to accomplish.. If you develop the aptitude and the will to “know” and master these fundamentals and lovingly apply them to your life based on your personality you will be on the right track….
Knowledge helps you remember your core strength. The right attitude encourages perseverance. These two aspects of your personality have to be nurtured every single day.. Great teachers focus most of their time in building these two elements of one’s personality.. When these two aspects of your personality blend together the ideas that emerge tend to be more result oriented.
Laziness, procrastination, frustration, bad health, poor thinking, horrible partner, being short of money all these are not the causes of your failure.. rather they are the effects of not allowing yourself a chance to stick to core fundamentals, nurture them and gain mastery over them..
The problem is no one is teaching the fundamentals.. The reason for that is very simple.. The truth is very few have gained mastery over these fundamentals… The magic is in the fundamentals and the fundamentals are the most interesting and most creative part of the learning process. They are not dumb words told over and over again…
Einstein once said “ If you cannot teach it to a six year old you don’t understand it yourself”
